Hangover Weekend Brunch

In a city where brunch is largely regarded as a lifestyle not a meal, Grand Café at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel recognizes that not even a hangover can keep Angelos away from their unlimited mimosas and Lululemon brunch uniform. Starting in April, Grand Café is offering the perfect solution to all hangover symptoms - a supersized brunch buffet featuring renowned Hangover cures from around the world and truly bottomless mimosas. The restorative spread includes Canada’s number one import, Poutine, Korean Haekanggek soup, Drunken Noodles from Thailand, Mexican Menudo beef soup, and the silky savory rice porridge from China known as Congee. For the brunch traditionalists, Grandma’s recommended hangover cures will also be at hand with stations including everything from Fried Chicken & Waffles to a fully stocked omelet station. Gourmet touches are present throughout with a Chef’s Carving Station of juicy slow roasted prime rib and a seafood display of chilled snow crabs, smoked salmon, and shrimp complete with local Angel City IPA cocktail sauce. Fresh house-made pastries and desserts compliment the ultimate Los Angeles brunch that can be enjoyed inside or al fresco on the outdoor patio overlooking MOCA.

Art of BBQ

Celebrate summertime with the return of the annual Art of Barbecue series at Grand Café, located at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel.  Overlook the sculptures and water installations of MOCA while feasting on a different style of BBQ buffet each Friday throughout the summer. Indulge in good old fashioned BBQ with weekly themes that include USA favorites like Memphis-style ribs, Texas-style brisket, and Carolina-style pulled pork. Other weekly buffets will showcase BBQ traditions from around the world including Japan, Korean, Brazil, and even Australia. The celebratory lunch series will begin on May 12th in honor of National BBQ Month. However, the series will continue throughout the summer every Friday from 11am until 3pm. May Margarita Series

Every Margarita Monday in May a new special edition margarita will be released at Noe Restaurant & Bar – the Omni Los Angeles Hotel’s signature restaurant. The drinks are handcrafted and feature a rotating selection of surprising ingredients like cantaloupe, sriracha, and avocado. Each specialty Margarita will be available for one week only (Monday-Sunday) and is served alongside mixology demonstrations and recipe cards. The Margarita State of Mine series starts on May 1st and runs daily until June 5th.

Trivia Night - Increased average Wednesday night revenue by 150%

Wursthaus in Downtown Santa Ana is famous for their drunken fries, boots of beer, and 24 unconventional sausages. Now Wursthaus is set to host a weekly Summer trivia night beginning Wednesday, June 29th, at 7 PM, inspired by the traditional 'Pub Quiz,'. Contestants will compete in teams of up to six, testing their general knowledge over the course of two rounds to win their very own boots of Germany's Weihenstephaner Vitus bier.

Entry into the competition is free, but ambitious guests may want to pick up some brain food in the form of one of Wursthaus’ signature dishes. They can choose from classic dogs like smoked bratwurst sprinkled with paprika and spices or go for the more adventurous exotic sausages like alligator. Also, no one can pass up a serving of Wursthaus’ signature Drunken Fries topped with haus andalouse sauce and onions caramelized in IPA beer!

Guests can also pre-game their beer winnings by sipping on inventive imported beers (like the recently  restocked local favorite Van Diest Früli Strawberry Beer) while answering questions that range from guessing obscure airport names to questions rooted in local history. For those who think they have what it takes should grab their friends and head to the 'haus on a Wednesday this summer to indulge in a good old fashioned pub quiz.
